The Panipuri Pani

Panipuri consists of a round or ball-shaped, hollow puri filled with a mixture of flavored water – panipuri is one of the most common street foods in the Indian subcontinent, pani puri spread to the rest of India mainly due to migration of people from one part of the country to another in the 20th century.

I despise eating street food except for a few exceptions, pani puri is not one from the exceptions, recently I came across pani puri spice powder – the spice powder has to mixed with water for the pani of panipuri, the recipe was mentioned on the package of the spice powder, I partially opted out of following the recipe step by step as mentioned on the package to make it more convenient for me and also added some fresh ingredients for flavour and health benefits.

The puri for pani puri is easily available in Indian grocery shops, so one has only to prepare the flavoured pani for the puri – the recipe of it is very easy; it is actually fun to indulge in pani puri at home – pouring the flavoured pani in the hollow puri and munching the entire puri at one shot.
