Cauliflower Salad made with 3 Ingredients

I can make cauliflower interesting to eat just using 3 spice powders/masalas which are easily accessible in India:


1st Ingredient: Turmeric powder, this spice powder is an essential ingredient in almost all Indian food recipes because the Indian saffron or the golden spice, is known for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic properties; curcumin is the active ingredient in turmeric.

2nd Ingredient: Asafoetida powder, apart from being a food flavouring agent, asafoetida powder is an effective digestive aid too.

3rd Ingredient: Garam masala, is powdered whole spice mix available in plenty of combinations, the flavour of each variant of garam masala depends upon the composition and use of ingredients, garam masala does impart strong flavor to the food without compromising on health because the ingredients included in the mixture are all natural substances, the retention of nutrition aspect of garam masala is à debatable topic.

The Recipe of Cauliflower Salad made with 3 Ingredients:

Quantity of Cauliflower: approx. 1/2kg

Cut the cauliflower into reasonable sections, blend it with melted mix of finely sliced pieces of 3 medium tomatoes cooked in adequate quantity of any mild-flavour vegetable oil; add the spice powders: 1/4 tsp. of turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp. of asafoetida powder and 1/2 to 1 tsp. of garam masala (depending upon the pungency and flavour of the selected garam masala); smidgen the blend with salt, cook the cauliflower salad by adding adequate quantity of water to make the slices soft

The cauliflower salad is a perfect option, when you prefer cooked salad over raw vegetable salad.
