Vitamin C or Ascorbate Meal

The vitamin C content of capsicums is surprisingly high. A green capsicum has 80 mg of vitamin C per 100 g

Vitamin C (also known as ascorbic acid and ascorbate) is a vitamin found in various foods. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient involved in the repair of tissue and the enzymatic production of certain neurotransmitters. It is required for the functioning of several enzymes and is important for immune system function. It also functions as an antioxidant.

I made the pulao using green capsicum too, the pulao was very nutritious and tasty too, however I was not happy with the ingredients used with green capsicum for flavour – it mismatched.

(I will soon be posting a renewed recipe of green capsicum pulao, which will meet my standard of expectation in relation to flavor.)
