The needlescaled queenfish also known as the slender queenfish, needleskin queenfish and slender leatherskin is a tropical game fish.
Scomberoides tol is a coastal fish which can be found in estuaries and inshore waters.
I purchased half section of a large scomberoides tol fish, I decided to fry the fish pieces (it was sold to me in slices, I just rinsed the fish pieces before marinating it).
I marinated the fish pieces with 1/2 tsp. of turmeric powder, smidgen of salt and 1 tsp. of any garam masala – according to preference of flavour, for approx. 5-10 minutes.
After marinating the fish pieces, I shallow fried the fish pieces in adequate quantity of warm, any mild-flavour vegetable oil, in an iron tava or frying pan for approx. 5 minutes in medium to low heat.
