Pulao is a food type which I regularly create in my kitchen, the reasons – it gives rice awesome flavour and enriches rice with nutrients because of addition of vegetables and whole spices.
In this recipe, the two main ingredients deepens the fresh green peas pulao with awesome flavour, the addition of fresh green peas enhances the pulao with proteins and other nutrients.
The Recipe to make Fresh Green Peas Pulao taste like Magic:
Quantity of rice: approx. 125gm of kolam or basmati rice = 1 full medium bowl of rice
Quantity of fresh green pea pods: approx. 250gm of fresh green peas
Blend fresh green peas in adequate quantity of warm, any mild-flavour vegetable oil; smidgen the blend with salt – according to preference of flavour, add the mixture with adequate quantity of water for the green peas to par-cook; when the green peas are par-cooked to almost evaporate the water – add the mixture with approx. 1/2 tsp. of whole black peppercorns (roughly crushed), 1/4 tsp. of turmeric powder and 1-2 tbsp. of veg mayonnaise; blend the mix with rice, add adequate quantity of water for the rice to cook (1 medium bowl of rice = 1 & 1/2 medium bowls of water); cover the utensil and cook the pulao in low heat until the water evaporates.
