I wanted to involve a side dish for my meal, and French beans were a good option, French beans have mild-sweet flavour so merging them with many ingredients for a side dish recipe can be opted out, I just made use of some essential spice powders to make the side dish of French beans healthy and tasty.

The Recipe of Masala or Spicy French Beans made with minimum effort:


Quantity of French Beans: approx. 250gm

Saute finely sliced pieces of French beans in adequate quantity of warm, any mild-flavour vegetable oil; blend the mix with 1/2 tsp. of sambhar masala or any other garam masala – according to preference of flavour, 1/4 tsp. of turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp. of asafoetida powder, 1/4 tsp. of chilli powder for mild-pungent flavour (optional); smidgen the mixture with salt – according to preference of flavour, blend the mixture with adequate quantity of water for the French beans pieces to cook, cook the vegetable until the water evaporates to tender the French beans pieces.

Serving size: approx. 3
