Which Vegetarian Food Gravies Would You Pair Seafood Pulao of Prawns with?

Perfect Mild-Spicy Seafood Pulao/Pilaf of Prawns:

Quantity of  tiger prawns: approx. 250 gm

Quantity of kolam or basmati rice: approx. 250 gm = 2 small cups of rice

Creamy Vegetable Mix of French Beans and Potato

Quantity of potatoes: approx. ½ kg

Quantity of French beans: approx. 250 gm

Add small potato pieces to adequate quantity of warm, any mild-flavour vegetable oil; when the potato pieces are warm enough, add small pieces of French beans to the mix; add the mixture with handful of finely sliced pieces of curry leaves, small pieces of a green chilli – for mild pungent flavour (these chillies are small and extremely slender, having fresh pungent flavour), pieces of a cheese cube, and 1/4 tsp. of turmeric powder; smidgen the mix with salt – according to preference of flavour, pour adequate quantity of water for the vegetables to cook, cook the vegetable mix until the vegetables turn tender.

Fresh Green Peas Gravy

Quantity of legume:  ½ kg of fresh green pea pods

In adequate quantity of warm, any mild-flavour vegetable oil, sauté finely sliced pieces of 4 medium tomatoes; blend the mix with finely mashed pieces of a sizable portion of a ginger root – adequate enough for a pleasant taste, finely sliced pieces of a green chilli  – for mild-pungent flavour (these chillies are small and extremely slender, having fresh pungent flavour), ¼ tsp. of turmeric powder; add the fresh green peas to the melted mix,  smidgen the mix with salt – according to preference of flavour; add adequate quantity of water for gravy, cook the mix until the peas turn soft in texture.

This vegetarian, winter food of fresh green peas gravy has combine taste of sweetness with the piquancy of ginger.

Delicious Mung Beans Gravy

Quantity of mung beans: 125 gm

Soak the mung beans in adequate quantity of water for approx. 8 hours

Cook the mung beans in a pressure cooker, in adequate quantity of water, in low heat, for up to 1 pressure cooker whistle.

Sauté finely sliced pieces of a big onion in adequate blend of warm, any mild-flavour vegetable oil & ghee (clarified butter); when the onion pieces begin to turn translucent in texture, blend the mix with finely sliced pieces of two medium tomatoes, pieces of a green chilli (these chillies are small and extremely slender, having fresh pungent flavour), and pieces of a cheese cube; smidgen the mix with salt – according to preference of flavour, add the mix with ¼ tsp. of asafoetida powder; cook the mixture until the mixture turns into thick gravy, blend the mixture with the cooked mung beans.

Serving size: approx. 5- 6
