Recipe of Seafood ‘Anchovies’: Fried golden anchovies in pleasant-spicy ginger flavour

Anchovies are found in scattered areas throughout the world’s oceans, but are concentrated in temperate waters.

Golden Anchovies are mild-flavour fish with having a rich fresh quality to it; though these are small fishes, the meat is thick in texture.

The Recipe of Fried Golden Anchovies in Pleasant-Spicy Ginger Flavour:

Quantity of anchovies: 2 handfuls of golden anchovies

Golden Anchovies are quite scaly fish and has to be cleaned thoroughly

  • Marinate the anchovies for at least 15 minutes in: ½ tbsp. of turmeric powder, 1 tsp. full of black peppercorns – freshly grounded, finely mashed pieces of a sizable portion of a ginger root – adequate enough for a pleasant flavour; and smidgen of salt – according to preference of taste,
  • Coat the marinated fish in a mixture of: an equal mix of gram flour and rice flour with generous sprinkling of semolina,
  • Shallow-fry the fish in adequate quantity of warm, any mild-flavour vegetable oil; fry the anchovies in a shallow frying-pan, in reasonable quantity, in medium to low heat for less than 5 minutes until they turn crispy in texture on the surface.

These fried golden anchovies has a crispy texture on the surface; having a soft interior with a reasonably spicy combine flavour of ginger and black peppercorns.
