Cinnamon Chicken Wings

Cinnamon is a spice obtained from the inner bark of numerous tree species from the genus Cinnamomum, cinnamon is native to India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Myanmar; this spice is abundant in a substance called cinnamaldehyde, which is reported to have powerful medicinal properties.

In this recipe, chicken wings are enriched with the taste, aroma and good properties of  ‘cinnamon’.

The Recipe:

Quantity of chicken wings/ lollipops: approximately 15

  • Marinate the chicken wings for at least ½ an hour in:

→  ½ tsp. of turmeric powder,

→ 2 tbsp. of white cooking vinegar,

→ 4 small pieces of cinnamon sticks (adequate enough for a fine cinnamon taste and aroma) – crushed into fine powder,

→ Salt – according to preference of taste.

  • After coating the chicken wings in rice flour, deep fry the chicken wings in a shallow pan, in adequate quantity of warm, any mild flavour vegetable oil, for about 5 minutes in medium to low heat.

≈ These chicken wings will have the blended fine taste of  – sweetness & sourness of the white cooking vinegar with the pleasant taste of the cinnamon.
